Our IVF TRANSFER

On April 24th we had a procedure that is known as an Embryo transfer. This is when we were known as PUPO (Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise). This transfer happened two week after our Egg Pick up on the 31st of March. In The photo that shows PUPO, Our little mans first Selfie is in the top part of the photo, that is the embryo that was transferred back into my uterus. In the lead up to having our transfer i ate tonnes of avocado, drank pineapple juice and pomegranate juice and walked everyday, to ensure my body was calm, and ready to house a human being. I also did acupuncture before the transfer and after the transfer and fell asleep in both sessions lol. We stayed for a week in Brisbane, as they say to relax and think of something else while the embryo implants its self into the uterine lining. So we ventured to the Gold Coast, and enjoyed the much warmer weather. We then arrived home and had the dreaded wait until they complete a blood test that is known as a BETA, this checks the HCG (pregnancy hormone) and will give you either a negative or positive. But Robbie and I couldn't wait till that Blood test so took a pregnancy test at 5DP5DT (5 days past a 5 day transfer (the Embryo is grown for 5 days to ensure it is doing its thing)). I then became a POAS (Piss on a stick addict) as i truly couldnt believe that we were pregnant and it had taken. The IVF journey is a hard one, but with strength, love and support anything is possible and never give up on what you hope for in life. <3 <3 <3
